Scenarios Invalidating the Field Visibility Rules

If you have saved your Field visibility rule and subsequently make changes to the properties of the fields (used in the rule), the rule may become invalid in the following cases:

• The UID of the operand or the target field is changed
• The operand or the target field is deleted or removed
• The operand field is marked as multiple
• The operand or the target field is moved to a group or modular blocks
• The data type of operand field is changed to a data type that is not supported by Field visibility rules
• The target field cannot be a field on which any type of validation is set. The field validations that invalidate the rules are:
  • A date range (a specific start and end date)
  • A max instance (any multiple field)
  • A limit for Multiple Choices (the Select field)
  • Marked as "Mandatory" 
  • Character length, for example, the blog name with character length between 10 and 20
  • A range of number, for example, 10 to 15
  • Validation through Regular Expression
